Oil Relaxation Massage
Long, slow strokes with warm oil to unwind the whole body. The easy choice after a long flight.
Soul Treats brings traditional Thai massage to your hotel room, condo or home in central Bangkok. Your therapist works without oil, using acupressure, palm pressure and assisted stretches while you wear loose, comfortable clothing on your own bed. Sessions cost THB 800 for 60 minutes, THB 1,000 for 90 and THB 1,300 for 120, every day from noon to 3am.
Your therapist arrives in the brown Soul Treats uniform and the massage takes place on your own bed, so there is nothing to set up and nothing to prepare. Wear something loose, such as a T-shirt with shorts or light trousers. Thai massage uses no oil, so you stay dressed from start to finish.
After a short chat about pressure and any stiff areas, your therapist works rhythmically along the body with thumb and palm pressure and gentle, assisted stretches. It feels firm and energising rather than sleepy, and the pressure is always adjusted to your comfort. Many guests book it after a long flight, a day of sightseeing around the Grand Palace or hours at a desk.

Thai massage is a living Thai tradition, and knowing a little about it helps you get more from your session.
Known in Thai as nuad thai, it grew from Buddhist and Ayurvedic influences over generations. Wat Pho, the temple of the Reclining Buddha, is famous for teaching it, and UNESCO lists nuad thai as intangible cultural heritage.
Traditional practice maps the body with sen, energy lines running from the feet to the head. Your therapist follows them with rhythmic pressure, then adds assisted stretches, which is why Thai massage is often called yoga you do not have to do yourself.
Most sessions begin at the feet and legs, move through the back, arms and shoulders, and finish at the neck and head, often with a seated shoulder stretch. Longer sessions leave time for slower work where you need it.
Many guests feel loose, light and alert rather than sleepy. Drink a glass or two of water, wait a little before a heavy meal, and tell us if a stretch felt too strong so your next session can be adjusted.

No. Traditional Thai massage is given without oil, so you stay in loose, comfortable clothing throughout, such as a T-shirt with shorts or light trousers. Avoid jeans or anything tight at the waist and knees, because the session includes stretches.
It should not be. Thai massage is firmer than oil massage and some stretches feel intense on tight muscles, but your therapist builds pressure gradually and checks in with you. Say the word and they ease off, or choose oil relaxation for a gentler session.

Yes. Your therapist comes to hotels, condos, serviced apartments and homes across central Bangkok and gives the massage on your own bed, so there is nothing to set up. Therapists usually arrive about 40 minutes after booking, every day from noon to 3am.
Sixty minutes is a good introduction if you are unsure how the stretches will feel. Many guests find 90 minutes the right balance, with time for slower work on the back, shoulders and legs. After a long-haul flight, 120 minutes is a popular choice.
