How much does an outcall massage in Bangkok cost?

An outcall massage in Bangkok costs THB 800 to THB 1,700 with Soul Treats, depending on the treatment and the length you choose. Every treatment comes in 60, 90 and 120-minute sessions, and this is our full price list.

In other words, a one-hour massage in your hotel room costs between 800 and 1,200 baht, and the top of the list is 1,700 baht for two hours of aromatherapy, coconut oil or herbal balm. Traditional Thai massage and oil relaxation massage are the most popular choices, and oil relaxation costs 100 baht more than Thai at every length. What is included in the price?

The price covers the full session time with a professionally trained therapist, her travel to you within 7 km of Sukhumvit Soi 22, and the massage oils or balm she brings with her.

With an outcall service, the price is for the treatment delivered to your door. There is no venue fee, no taxi to a spa and no waiting room. Here is exactly what you are paying for, and what you might pay on top.

• Included. A professionally trained therapist for the full 60, 90 or 120 minutes you book.
• Included. The massage oils or herbal balm for your treatment. The massage takes place on your own bed, so you do not need to supply or set up anything.
• Included. Travel to hotels, condos, serviced apartments and homes within 7 km of Sukhumvit Soi 22.
• Only if it applies. The taxi fare for an address further than 7 km, which we quote and you agree before the therapist sets off.
• Up to you. A tip is not part of the quoted price. Tipping for good service is common in Thailand, but it is always your choice.

Do you charge for travel to my hotel or condo?

No, not within 7 km of Sukhumvit Soi 22, which covers central Bangkok's main hotel areas. Further out, we quote the taxi fare and arrival time before the therapist sets off, so you agree to it before anything is arranged.

• Nana 2.0 km, Ekkamai 2.0 km and Phra Khanong 2.9 km

• Riverside, along the Chao Phraya, 5.9 km

In practice, that means hotels along Sukhumvit Road from BTS Nana to BTS Phra Khanong, the business district around Silom Road and Sathorn Road, the Pratunam shopping streets near Platinum Fashion Mall and the riverside around Charoen Krung pay nothing extra. What makes the price go up or down?

Three things set the price: the length of the session, the treatment you choose and, only for addresses outside our free zone, a taxi fare.

1. Length. A 60-minute session sits at the lower end. Moving up to 90 minutes adds THB 200 to 300, depending on the treatment, and 120 minutes adds a little more again.
2. Treatment. Traditional Thai is the lowest price at THB 800 for an hour. Oil Relaxation is THB 900, Deep Tissue THB 1,000, Aromatherapy and Coconut Oil THB 1,100, and Herbal Balm THB 1,200.
3. Distance. Inside 7 km of Sukhumvit Soi 22 there is no travel charge. Beyond that, the taxi fare is quoted and agreed first.

Best value tip. Going from 60 to 90 minutes adds only THB 200 to 300. If you have the time, the longer session lets your therapist work through the back, shoulders and legs at an unhurried pace.

Is an outcall massage more expensive than a spa?

Usually it is the opposite. Hotel spas typically charge more for a similar treatment, because the price also covers the location, the facilities and the setting.

An outcall massage removes that overhead, so you pay for the therapist and the treatment, not the real estate. You also save the time and cost of getting there: no taxi across town in the evening traffic on Sukhumvit Road or Rama IV, no waiting in reception and no journey home afterwards. That matters most after a long flight, when jet lag makes going out feel like hard work, or at the end of a full day of meetings. And when the session ends, you are already in your own room, ready to shower or sleep.

How do I pay, and when is the price confirmed?

The price is confirmed by message before your therapist sets off. You can pay by cash, Thai QR (PromptPay), bank transfer, or credit or debit card (Visa or Mastercard).

2. Tell us your hotel or condo, the treatment, the length and the time.
3. We confirm the total price and an arrival window. A therapist usually arrives about 40 minutes after you book, depending on traffic.
4. Your therapist arrives with the oils and balm, and you pay the price we agreed, in the way that suits you.
